Transition Lead

£405 p/d

This is to support management change throughout the business in new system implementation.

If the person has a Change management cert/qualification then that would be ideal, but not a must have.

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Business Transition Manager, you will lead and deliver customer-facing and internal transition management activities for programmes, projects and other change initiatives. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, internal change delivery teams and external delivery partners.

As part of a small, internal consulting team, you will primarily get involved with larger programmes and projects and other transformative initiatives across all business functions that encompass significant changes to business processes and business systems.

The key responsibilities of the Business Transition Lead are to:

* Assess the impact of change across the organisation, business processes and business systems.

* Develop appropriate transition management plans to address the identified impacts.

* Deliver customer facing and internal transition management activities including stakeholder analysis and management, communications planning and delivery, training needs analysis and delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assess the impact of change across the organisation, business processes and business systems.

* Assess the readiness of the business for change and identify associated risks and issues.

* Develop appropriate transition management plans in collaboration with the Project Manager, internal and external stakeholders to address the identified impacts for all programmes, projects and change initiatives with transition management requirements.

* Deliver customer facing and internal transition management activities in line with the agreed plans.

* Identify stakeholders and define management approach to ensure on-going stakeholder engagement and buy-in to projects and change initiatives.

* Execute the stakeholder management approach involving project team members and the wider business as required.

* Prepare the communications approach and deliver activities in line with the agreed schedule.

* Prepare the training needs analysis and develop the training approach to meet the stated needs.

* Identify and provide support to additional change managers, change agents and users required for programmes, projects and change initiatives.

* Collaborate with the Internal Communications and Learning and Development functions to help guide the business through its change journey.

* Partner with the Project Manager to manage the transition of benefits realisation from the project team to the business areas that are accountable for the realisation of the stated benefits.

* Serve as an expert consultant for business transformation and change management methodologies and tools across the organisation.

* Serve as a change agent to align stakeholders and drive lasting change.

* Escalate risks and issues via Governance framework, identifying effective solutions and recommendations for mitigating actions.

* Develop a collaborative working relationships with the business, in particular the senior business leadership and business process owners.

* Commit to on-going personal development in respect of business transformation and change management methodologies and techniques.

Skills and Experience Required:

Mandatory

* Demonstrable experience in supporting organisations through the full lifecycle of transformational change initiatives.

* Experienced in leading business change activities for programmes/projects with organisational, process, technology and customer impacts.

* Experienced in balancing and managing multiple senior business managers in the development and execution of complex change programmes.

* Expert knowledge of change management methodologies and tools.

* Detailed understanding of project management methodologies and practices, e.g. PRINCE2.

* Proven track record of consulting, negotiating and influencing without authority.

* Proven experience in facilitating workshops across all levels of an organisation.

* Strong people skills, able to deal with the rational, emotional and political aspects of change projects.

* Strong analytical skills.

* Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels of an organisation.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Emotionally intelligent, resilient and energetic.

* Track record of driving results and exceeding expectations and targets.

* A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Desirable

* Educated to degree level in a Business discipline, or similar experience.

* APMG International's Change Management Certification to Practitioner Level as a minimum, or similar.

* Previous experience in Financial Services, Automotive Finance or retail consumer finance (B2C).
