We are looking for a number of C or C++ 2017 Graduate Software Engineers to join our clients Graduate Software Development training programme at their R&D office in Leeds (25 min direct train commute from Euston, Central London). The Graduate scheme includes real development projects (results of which will have global impact on the development of new technologies) and salaries are reviewed every 6 months for the first 2 years.Working as a 2017 Graduate Software Engineer you will be responsible for:
Development of C and C++ code for a variety of projects in the field of computer vision and image processing.Working with a skilled team of engineers on test-driven development for technologies that are powering the next generation of multimedia devices. To be considered for the 2017 Graduate Software Engineer role you must have:
Some demonstrable experience of using C or C++ in projects at university or your personal projects (ideally on a Linux OS).A 1st/2.1 technical degree (Ideally Computer Science or Electronics but any Maths, Science, Physics or engineering based subject) and at least BBC at A level. AND meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
Experience of Linux, or a hobbyist Linux programmer, or Android projectsExposure to lower level development e.g. sockets, kernel, drivers etc.An interest/knowledge in Graphics, Games or Video technologies e.g. Image Processing, MPEG, OpenGL, Direct3D, DirectX, AI, Neural Networks etc.Knowledge of processor architectures, an interest in areas such as Compilers, Drivers, kernel level work, linkers, debuggers, assembler, parsing, parallel computation.
