Programme Manager

Programme Manager required to join a reputable large organisation based in London. This is a contract position due to last an initial 6 months and will be paying market rates.

The Role

This role will involve working within the company, new Capabilities and Services are delivered by Programs and Projects, using the company's Innovation Funnel Process. Program / Project teams may reside within Functions, Services or within a specific Geography to deliver these Capabilities or Services. Within the company's Organisation, some Projects require the use of external partners to deliver, requiring the ability to work in a diverse environment spanning regions, cultures and organisations. This will involve working on the Sustainability Programme as part of the Information & Analytics Team.

There are Currently 6 people in the team, but working with up to 60 different resources as part of the workstream. This role will require you to work between 2 locations in central London but no other travel will be required.

* There are 14 different workstreams which cover sustainability and managing the company's footprint.

* Other initiatives - sustainable sourcing (using the correct suppliers, no child labour etc.).

* Must ensure workstreams are synchronised - e.g. obtaining more resources, communicating with the steer board and tracking budget.

* May need to attend calls out of normal office hours, but only very occasionally.

* Will manage Statement of Work (SOW) and escalations. You will not be managing the technical work.

The Ideal Candidate

* Someone who is used to working in large programmes or working at Director Level.

* Must have very strong programme management skills.

* Must know how to manage budgets and keep costs in mind.

Professional Qualifications

* Participation in project management training (both LMS accredited courses, and GPMO courses)

Desirable

* Project Management Institute: Project Management Professional of Program Management Professional

Experience

* Successful track record of leading Programs, in excess of 1mEUR

* Successful track record of leading Program teams in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment

* Successful track record of building relationships across the Program / Project and Business environment in which the Program / Project is delivering

* Knowledge of Program Management Processes.

* Demonstrated knowledge of process design techniques.

* Ability to follow quality assurance processes

* Demonstrated ability to use Program / Project Management toolset (Clarity, and MS Office Suite)

* Demonstrated ability to use collaboration tools (Audio Conferencing, Video Conferencing, Live Meeting, Share-point)
