The circus themed offices of this company are based in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter. They are a growing and innovative enterprise and continue to expand their range of products to best serve the education industry. Their online software is used by every local authority in England, as well as thousands of schools, colleges and children's centres in the UK and overseas.

The company is looking for a self-motivated individual, passionate about organisation and process. You will be working alongside the growing in-house technical team covering the flow of work from design through to development and deployment. You will become a pivotal point of contact ensuring the ongoing high quality of software and high calibre of service delivered to all customers.

Reporting to the Head of Software Development you will be required to organise the flow of work, streamline processes and bring in and enforce behavioural shifts. The company want someone who can make the project lifecycle as efficient and effective as possible in order to retain standards for production through to delivery.

The Role

- Maintain and update development schedules so progress against plans can be easily determined and managed.

- Ensuring JIRA is kept up-to-date.

- Maintaining the backlog of work tasks, sprints and ensuring tasks are well defined.

- Monitor progress and highlight any capacity or delivery concerns.

- Progress and keep development teams updated with their position against plans.

- Coordinate between development teams to ensure that projects are on track.

- Attend meetings and ensuring all information is captured.

- Reporting on time, capacity planning and utilisation.

Knowledge & experience in:

- Previous experience of project or product lifecycle management

- Project Management Methodologies.

- Development Methodologies.

- JIRA (beneficial).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to convey technical information to non-technical people.

- Commercial Awareness: Thinks about costs and benefits of actions before taking them. Relays information effectively. Ensures processes and systems developed to deliver the products are adhered to.

- Customer Service: Is confident when dealing with internal stakeholders. Looks to solve problems with attention to the company needs.

- Communication: Drive communication between the team to make certain members aware of status. Contributes at team meetings positively.

- Personal Organisation: Has strong time management skills with the ability to manage workload appropriately between conflicting priorities.

- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Seeks to improve process.
