* Hands on, demonstrable, experience of defining solutions architectures that deliver Identity management and personalisation.
* Hands on, demonstrable experience of defining and delivering architectural solutions that support very high numbers of peak concurrent users, that are highly available, and highly resilient in the face of dependent component failures.
* Deep understanding and delivery experience of distributed micro-service systems architectures.
* Deep understanding of OAuth, SAML, OpenID, Single Sign-on and federated Identity management systems.
* Deep understanding of SSL, Cookie handling, Security, authentication and authorisation.
* Experience of SaaS, PaaS, cloud base infrastructure.
* Experience of using Agile software development methods within the IT, Media and Telecoms industries to deliver iterative solutions.
* Excellent understanding of the inter-relationships between different architectural areas and also business areas.
* Excellent appreciation of business systems generally and their economic impacts on a business.
* Experience of integrating web platforms with enterprise customer management, billing, and provisioning applications.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design
You will be accountable for the definition of solution designs which balance the needs of the business with the evolution of the technical landscape by:
* Working with business leaders at an ideas stage to ensure they are aware of how technology can help them meet their business challenges;
* Creating and delivering innovative end-to-end solution designs for products that meet the requirements of the sponsor while maintaining the overall integrity of the Technology systems estate;
* Supporting the individual product streams in the maintenance and construction of their system roadmaps;
* Working with delivery teams assisting them in aligning to the overall solution architecture and adjusting the architecture as needed in the face of changes to requirements through to product launch;
* Working with delivery teams in developing solutions that are secure, highly responsive, scalable, highly available, and resilient in the face of failure of dependent components and systems;
* Ensuring solution designs align with prevailing Technology strategy, and the relevant technology and corporate policies (such as security, compliance, data management and retention, etc.).
The main focus of your solutions architecture work will be handling the user's online identity capabilities and the integration of those components with the other TVDP Platform components and "Client" capabilities providing services to "Client"'s products.

Technical Leadership
You will work with Lead Architect in articulating and evangelising the overall mission & vision of the department. You will support delivery teams with aligning to department technical strategy and technical governance processes.
You will achieve this by:
* Providing expertise on open source tools and systems, and thought leadership around agile development practices;
* Identifying the key technologies, components and practices that deliver value to TVDP OTT Global TV Platforms & Apps Software Engineering, TVDP, and "Client" Europe;
* Evangelising strategic technologies and best practices to help spread acceptance within the delivery teams;
* Supporting the definition of guidelines for architecture and solutions design within the department and helping projects to deliver within those guidelines;
* Participating as subject matter expert on internal working groups and forums as requested; and also representing "Client" UK in technology, standards and professional forums as appropriate;
* Maintaining your own personal skills and knowledge in the field of software architecture and design.

Team Member Role
As a key member of the TVDP OTT Global TV Platforms & Apps Software Engineering team, you will:
* Personally demonstrate "Client" UK's core values and operate within their principles;
* Provide leadership to the software design and architecture community including external parties;
* Deliver effective and open communications within the team and department;
* Ensure "Client" UK's health and safety policies and procedures are followed, report any safety issues to management, and participate in "Client"'s objective to be a safe and healthy workplace.

* Demonstrable track record in software engineering working within a software delivery team.
* Demonstrable track record in a software and systems design and/or architectural capacity working in the Media industry delivering Identity services.
* Demonstrable track record in the design and delivery of leading edge strategic business solutions from concept through implementation.
* Has undertaken all stages of the systems delivery lifecycle working closely with software engineering teams implementing your solutions.
* Demonstrable record of establishing, developing and maintaining 3rd party vendor relationships and maximising the benefit from those relationships.
* Demonstrable track record of working effectively with senior stakeholders within the business (including Technology, Product Management, Sales & Marketing).
* Other general experience of delivering systems architecture within the Media or Telecom industries.
Other experience
* Demonstrable experience of working with multiple product streams through the entire lifecycle in an Agile environment
* Working with self-organising Agile software development teams
