Graduate Digital ASIC Design Engineer - Scotland

If you have recently graduated, or are soon due to graduate and are looking for a career as a Digital ASIC Design Engineer, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the Semiconductor industry. In this role you will be working on HDL design for imaging products.

Our client, based in Edinburgh, is recruiting for a Graduate Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join their team developing advanced imaging camera systems. You will have the chance to work alongside senior Digital Design Engineer, and gain experience in all areas of the ASIC design flow process, from RTL design, verification at IP and SOC levels, FPGA and ASIC synthesis and final design evaluation. This role offers great exposure to a wide range of technical areas and offers a lot of scope for long-term career progression.

As the successful candidate, you will have recently finished (or be coming to the end of) a degree in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or related field, and have a solid understanding of the concept of digital IC design. You will have gained some coding experience in VHDL or Verilog, and be able to demonstrate good digital RTL design skills gained from academic projects. Some programming experience in C would be a plus, but not essential. You will be enthusiastic, motivated, organised, and have a keen eye for detail.
