Research Engineer / Programme Manager

Location: Bristol

Permanent

This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a Research Engineer / Programme Manager with experience in either C++ or C# development to join the team. You will be leading the collaborations with academic research labs and you will be meeting top researchers around the world, working on research projects and publishing papers.

As Research Engineer, Programme Manager you will be:

*Managing my clients programme of engagement with academic research labs

*Working on collaborative projects with research labs and publishing papers

*Building prototype interactive systems

*Establishing scientific theories and then creating proof of concept demo's

As a Research Engineer, Programme Manager you will have:

*A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar

*A PhD in human computer interaction, virtual reality, interactive systems or similar

*Experience building interactive systems from design to demo

*A history of publications in academic journals or conferences

*Strong organisational skills with the vision and ability to take a project from idea to proof of concept

*Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to people from other fields

*Excellent networking skills; comfortable and confident networking in the academic community

*Good software development skills, preferably in C++ or C#
