Solution Architect / Technical Architect

Oxford area

£50,000 to £60,000 + Benefits + Flexible working

An ambitious Solution Architect is required by a growing business with offices nationally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background in Technical / Solution Architecture, with exposure to Enterprise Technology or Cloud solutions advantageous but not essential.

The main responsibility of the Solution Architect is to design and assist the development of technical solutions (often Cloud based) within a TOGAF framework. The role will work in a collaborative, Agile environment alongside other Architecture and Technical teams, specifically BA's, Operations and Support teams.

The role offers the opportunity for progression as the team continue to grow and candidates looking for step up in responsibility will be considered, however commercial experience as a Solution Architect is preferred.

Core accountabilities:

- Provide the necessary Solution Architecture expertise across a broad project portfolio

- Work closely within Application, Infrastructure, Data and Technology domains

- Ensure technical design adheres to the strategic Enterprise Architecture and best practice

- Work in a dynamic, changeable environment to set timescales

- Work with all areas of the business in the building of Application, Infrastructure or Cloud based solutions

- Develop and maintain Use Cases and supporting documentation within the confines of a TOGAF Framework.

Experience & Expertise:

- A strong commercial background in a Technical Lead or Architecture role is essential.

- The role is hands off but a technical background in Microsoft technologies is advantageous.

- Experience of working across an international environment interfacing with senior business and IT stakeholders

- Experience in operating and using architecture modelling tools (TOGAF, Sparx etc)

- Ability to translate business requirements across both business and technical teams in an unstructured environment

- A good understanding of Agile, SCRUM best practice

Desirable:

- Microsoft certified

- Cloud platform/Azure expertise
