Graduate Digital Physical Design Engineer - Scotland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Digital Physical Design Engineer to join a world-leading IC Design company based in Edinburgh.
This company has a global reputation as a leader in semiconductor-based sensing and power products. Demand for their technology is high, and as part of strong company growth they are looking for a Graduate level Digital Physical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of digital solutions for the latest generation of mixed-signal motor control ASICs.
In this position you will be responsible for the physical implementation of the main digital block of a mixed signal IC. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*Defining the physical and timing constraints
*Defining test requirements and insert scan logic.
*Synthesis and place and route (P&R)
*Floorplanning, clock tree insertion, timing optimization and static timing analysis (STA)
*Estimating the power consumption and IR drop.
*Formal verification.
The right candidate for this role will be:
*Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering, or similar field (or soon to graduate)
*Highly motivated, with a keen interest in developing a career as a Digital Physical Design Engineer
*Knowledgeable in back-end digital design, and familiar with the RTL to GDSII flow
Any skills in the following gained from University projects would be beneficial:
*RTL Synthesis
*Floor -planning
*Place and Route (P&R)
*Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS),
*Static Timing Analysis (STA),
*Timing Closure, Physical
