Java Developer, £40-50k, Newcastle Upon Tyne
In your current role do you feel under-utilised, under-valued and under-trained?
Would you like to work for a company that has recently secured numerous multi £million contracts, that will utilise your skill set and will train you?
Yes?
Well you're in luck as a Newcastle-based tech firm that specialises in developing enterprise software for global businesses is now hiring.
They are expecting to grow their annual turnover by £2m to £5.5m next year so expect plenty of work to do but also expect to be home in time for your tea.
The work will be interesting and varied too as the last few months have seen this company win new contracts with two global banks, one headquartered in New York and the other in London, as well as a UK-wide insurance firm, HMRC and the NHS
Your current skillset will be utilised but you will also be trained on languages and technologies that you haven't used before such as Scala and/or Clojure.
This company is what I like to call a 'proper tech company' - everyone that works at this business either builds their own technology, run local agile networking events or run development classes.
This company works within an Agile environment so only apply if you have experience of this please.
The development here is 80% TDD, 20% BDD.
