Engineering Supervisor - Birmingham

New opportunity in Birmingham for an Engineering Supervisor to head up a team is responsible for the development and release of application software for a number of high profile & challenging global applications in the automotive sector.

Applicants need to have a relevant degree and proven experiences of leading an Embedded Software Engineering team. This will be coupled with a solid understanding of software/systems design and tools (Rhapsody UML) and methods as well as knowledge of using real-time embedded software (C language). You should also have very good communication and motivation skills, hands-on mentality and good interpersonal and problem solving skills. Fluency in English is essential.

Tasks include:

*Lead a team in the generation of software design documents to appropriate software quality and safety standards, review of software implementation and perform system level testing and issue resolution

*Plan, coordinate and report the function development, testing and release for a specific application throughout the product lifecycle both internally and with customers and suppliers

*Translate customer/System specifications into model based(UML) software design documents for implementation within Rhapsody

*Work with the software suppliers to ensure that all software deliverables meet requirements and standards

*Ensure all functional development performed within the team to be functionally tested using SIL approach using VectorCast as the Tool

*Support Engineering Manager in strategic initiatives
