This is an exceptional opportunity for a high calibre IT systems professional from a consultancy or blue chip background to take on a fresh challenge with a leading licensing company.

Fostering an engaging and fast-paced environment, our client offers the chance to hone your abilities whilst directly contributing to the success of their systems.

As a Solution Architect, you will be tasked with ensuring that our client’s systems are based on sound architectural principles and solution architecture is defined through a mixture of bespoke solutions and off-the-shelf packages.

Joining the Architecture and Design Team, you will report to the Technical Design Manager and will convert business requirements into solutions designs and blueprints that can be used to build upon. You will also help to shape the longer term strategic architecture.

Your aim will be to ensure solutions adhere to designs and meet business needs. This will be achieved through close collaboration with Business and Technical Analysts, Developers and process Owners across the company.

- Delivering IT capabilities through an understanding of business processes and considered approaches

- Providing design assurance to solutions developed within the IT function

- Leading the evolution of alternative technologies

- Supporting the planning and resourcing processes in place for development projects

Interested? To be considered, you must have:

- At least five years’ experience in an IT consultancy or blue chip environment including experience of designing, development and supporting bespoke and packed applications

- Experience of participating in at least two medium system implementation projects throughout the full project lifecycle

- Experience of projects involving multiple business units / user communities and that involve a significant element of business change

- At a minimum, a degree level standard of education (or equivalent), ideally in Computer Science or a related topic

Customer focused, strategic and analytical, as a Solution Architect, you must possess excellent communication skills, first class problem solving abilities, a close attention to detail and an accurate approach.
