Are you looking for an opportunity to enhance your career prospects and work on bespoke software solutions for a rapidly growing market sector?

If so then I have a client based in Bristol that will definitely be of interest to you. Working within the semiconductor industry, the client provide bespoke solutions for the manufacturing sector in reducing the amount of toxic chemicals released during the manufacturing process.

The software used to achieve this goal is bespoke PLC software with front-end development involved in the software.

On offer is a clear progression plan and opportunity to move through the business as well as a basic salary of up to £40,000; bonus options; pension plans and an opportunity to work with the most innovative software available.

Key activities will include:

* Supporting the electrical and controls design activity

* Developing functional specifications utilising a combination of methods including UML - PLC coding using ladder logic, structured text and function blocks

* HMI design and configuration - Software documentation and release management

* Production of detailed test plans

Ideally, a relevant candidate will have experience in the following fields:

* PLC based Software Development

* Front-end development (Visual Basic, .Net for example)

* Ability to manage own projects and time

This opportunity is subject to competition but, as the company grows, there will be more opportunities that arise for candidates of high caliber controls engineering.
