Software Engineer

Solihull, West Midlands

£18,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer, front end and/or back end, to join their Solihull office.

Working within the Business Intelligence Information team, this Software Engineer will report to a team leader, and will deal with all elements of large scale data manipulation, including data migration, business intelligence and reporting, as well as middleware integration.

What being a Software Engineer will involve:

As a Software Engineer one of the main duties would be developing and maintaining software to the quality standards of an industry leader. There is also a requirement to perform analysis with this particular role, working with colleagues and customers to ensure they obtain the maximum benefit from their investment in products. Our client would ask you to take an analytical approach, innovating and evaluating solutions and making recommendations throughout the development lifecycle. Our client’s Software Engineers have deadlines to work to for projects and this role is no exception.

Part of the role is to carry out testing to make sure that company software is of the highest quality.

What experience our client looks for from you:

- Experience of full lifecycle software development and delivery.

- Knowledge of a relational database.

- Knowledge and experience within SQL / T-SQL.

- Knowledge of .NET and the C# programming language.

- Experience of processing large volumes of data.

- Experience with an ETL tool.

- Concepts of Data Dash boarding / BI / MI.

- Must be willing and able to undertake international travel if required.
