Junior Project Manager / Consultant - Defence Consultancy

This is an immediate requirement for a Junior Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to join a leading UK defence consultancy.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to work for a leading UK Defence Consultancy in the Bristol area. This Project Manager role will be working closely with the MoD to provide knowledge transfer, guidance, advice and quality control for large MoD programmes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an Engineering environment with a broad range of experience covering areas like risk, EVM and project finances.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities for this role

- Help to deliver complex programmes through the integration of programme management and systems engineering/enterprise architecture.

- Work with clients to maintain a clear picture of their goals and how they are being realised

Requirements for this role

- Demonstrate practical experience in one or more of the following areas

** Project Control (including Earned Value),

** Planning and Scheduling,

** Project Risk Management,

** Cost Estimating and Forecasting,

** Through-life Management

** Planning and Assurance.

- Have experience of working in a project environment particularly in the Defence or Engineering industry's.

- Be a confident individual who can perform when working as part of a team or when acting independently with support from colleagues.

- Operate effectively at senior levels in a clients team to influence strategic decision makers whilst acting at the working level to deliver practical solutions.

- Be articulate with good presentation and written communication skills.

- Have a genuine enthusiasm to contribute to the growth of a successful business.
