Key Responsibilities;
* Extensive Cyber and information security programme implementation experience.
* Knowledge of the CESG Tailored Assurance Service (CTAS) lifecycle.
* Co-ordinate and manage security requirements into the product design.
* A proven track record in leading security related projects from conception through to delivery.
* Provide security assurance against the architectural designs created by the engineering design teams.
* Manage a risk based approach to product security, balancing security requirements against Safety and other transverse engineering disciplines, ensuring the overall product is fit for purpose.
* Be the point of contact for all aspects of information assurance and product security.
* To provide and maintain Subject Matter Expertise in Information Assurance and all aspects of product security.
* Knowledge of and exposure to large scale technical infrastructures and environments.
* Co-ordinate the engineering products through their respective design, development and manufacture lifecycles.
* Experience defining Cyber Security roadmaps or have conducted security maturity assessments.
* To provide highly effective and credible Technical Representation for the company when dealing with customers and suppliers.
* Other tasks agreed with the Systems Engineering Manager as appropriate.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience;
* Good understanding of engineering within Defence Projects
* Proven Leadership qualities
* A good understanding of Systems, Safety and Security design standards and principles - JSP440 etc.
* Developing system design;
* Producing specifications and statements of work;
* Partnering soft skills - across all stakeholders
* Collaboration to achieve joint aims
* Negotiation whilst maintaining a strong equitable relationship
* Project Management knowledge
* Interfacing with Project Management
* Bid management
* Stakeholder management
* A good background in top-down engineering development principles
* Knowledge of the "Vee" lifecycle.
* Good understanding of formal design processes
* Good planning, communications, and co-ordination skills
* Good PC skills (Ideally DOORS, System Architect, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project).
