Information Strategy Manager - Integrated and Smart Travel

Salary:
Circa £50,000 per annum
Purpose:
Lead the development and delivery of an Information Strategy for an ambitious transformation programme to ticketing and payments on all transport across the North of England, maximising benefits realisation and timely delivery of all required programme outcomes.
Reports to:
Business Design Authority Lead - Integrated and Smart Travel
Role Responsibilities:
Agree and ensure an integrated approach to the development and implementation of the Information Strategy for the Integrated and Smart Travel programme
Effective leadership of the Integrated and Smart Travel Programme - Information Team
Manage projects and programmes against agreed plans, budgets and stakeholder needs
Effective Information Provision
Lead negotiations and development of commercial arrangements and agreement for information delivery with a range of delivery partner organisations (bus, tram and rail operators, local transport authorities)
Effective people management and leadership
Location
Flexible across the North of England, but with a requirement to regularly work from our offices in Leeds.

Significant experience in similar programme management and delivery role

Extensive experience of managing the provision of diverse information to large numbers of people across a wide geographic area

Proven experience in developing and negotiating complex commercial agreements and arrangements with stakeholders and partners

Experience and/or knowledge of information product development processes and requirements
E5
Experience and/or knowledge of information provision technologies
E6
Experience in transport and / or customer facing system implementation
E7
Extensive experience of leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects and work plans, and to meet key objectives

Experience of managing significant budgets, maximising external funding opportunities, and effectively applying key commercial, business and other management processes

Demonstrable political sensitivity and the ability to robustly manage stakeholders

Significant experience of leading multi-agency groups, managing conflicts and achieving consensus

Experience of managing specialist consultants and other contributors to strategic development programmes

Relevant degree/postgraduate qualification or equivalent
