Physics Graduate - MPhys (M.Sc) - Trading IT

Physics Graduate - MPhys (M.Sc) or doctor of philosophy (PhD) candidate is sought to join the front office team of this major global provider of financial markets trading software and use their problem solving and analytical skills and Unix / Linux knowledge to keep their high profile trading systems working at optimal performance.

If you have an educational background in hard science such as Physics or Maths or Electronics Engineering and good basic Unix / Linux operating systems experience this could be an exciting, challenging, well-paid and prestigious job for you.

This major global provider of financial trading software would take your numerical skills, problem solving and analytical skills and basic understanding of operating systems and train you up in how to work directly with their front office traders and quantitative analysts and help them to get the best out of their trading products.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED of the Physics or Electronics Engineering PhD or Masters with Unix - trading technology

- Physics Graduate - MPhys (M.Sc)

- Good basic Unix or Linux skills (Ubuntu is a big plus)

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- An ability to think both on your feet and also keep an eye on the long-term strategy

- An interest in the financial markets / Investment Banking / financial trading
