Mobile Software Developer - JavaScript / PixiJS / WebGL / iOS / Android

My client, a market leading Media/Broadcast organisation, are currently recruiting for Mobile Software Developer (JavaScript) on an initial 2-month contract. The Mobile Software Developer will work collaboratively within a cross-functional team in order to build/add functionality to a number of applications. The Mobile Software Developer will work mainly in JavaScript whilst heavily utilising WebGL and Canvas technologies using the PixiJS framework.

Responsibilities:

* Build, design and deliver high quality, high volume, high availability and high performance solutions in line with the guidance and best practices

* Daily liaison with the product owner, technical lead and design teams to ensure the definition, design and development of new features run smoothly

* Be responsible for work quality, ensuring it meets the technical standards

* Develop, test, release and document features using software engineering best-practices to ensure timely delivery and ease of maintenance

* Provide time and resource estimates to assist in the planning of projects

* Provide technical advice to the editorial and design teams

Essential experience:

* JavaScript including WebGL, Canvas, Animations experience

* iOS and/or Android development

* iOS (Objective-C, Swift)

* Android & Java

* Writing and maintaining large scale robust production software

* Testing tools and approaches, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and test frameworks such as Mocha and Jasmine

* Source control systems such as Git and GitHub
