IT Business Analyst

Join our new Innovation team as an IT Business Analyst. The Innovation team's purpose is to transform our business to provide an unrivalled digital experience for our customers and suppliers. As an IT Business Analyst you will support the business to meet its objectives and goals.

Your main responsibilities will involve the following:

* Elicit requirements using a variety of techniques and taking ownership of the requirements throughout the software development lifecycle

* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

* Being responsible for producing specific Business Analyst artefacts and providing input to other project deliverables and controls.

* Ensuring best practice methods and governance processes are employed

* When working on an Agile project delivery, being an integral member of the development team to ensure that the business requirements, related benefits, and acceptance criteria are fully understood by all.

You will have proven experience and skills that include:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally at all levels

* The ability to listen to, absorb and evaluate stakeholder needs in order to demonstrate strong analysis, critical thinking and problem solving ability

* The ability to facilitate working meetings, ask probing questions and be able to apply a variety of other elicitation techniques appropriately

* The ability to relay information clearly and concisely in written form, verbally and using visual models

* The ability to work autonomously to manage commitments and deadlines.

* Experience of working within highly collaborative Agile teams, writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and the use of BDD (Behaviour Driven Development)
