Job Title: Junior Technical Consultant

Location: Wooburn Green, Bucks

Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Job Role:

An opportunity to take a hands on role in a busy Technical Services Team who provide end to end IT Managed Services Solutions. This opportunity would suit a confident and positive individual, someone who thrives on Technology and is capable of working in a small team. It is likely you would have studied an IT or Computer Sciences degree and have 2-3 years' experience within an IT business environment in a Technical Role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be involved with the daily duties within our Technical Services team from customer site monitoring through to fault call resolution

* Work with members of the Technical Services team on a variety of hardware & software installation projects

* Liaise with other Departments to make sure the correct equipment (hardware/software/paperwork) is onsite for installation/implementation

* Provide remote technical support to the customers user base to achieve contractual SLA's

* Provide technical support to 1st Line Service Desk Analysts

* Ability to provide a positive 2nd Line Service Desk experience

* Work with our third line Technical support team

* Help with the development of support material for our Managed Services business

* Identify and work towards service improvements

* Have the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience

* Make outbound phone calls to customers keeping them informed on a regular basis

* Build internal / external relationships through effective methods of communication

* Document all technical solutions within the Service Desk knowledge base

* Contribute to delivering a 70% remote resolution target

* Incident / change / service requests assignment to appropriate Service Department

* Assess, prioritise and manage workload ensuring contractual obligations are achieved

* Undertake vendor training courses

Candidate Qualities:

* 2-3 years working in IT Support and Windows stack

* Good Understanding of Networks

* Enjoy working with new IT Technologies

* Troubleshooting Experience

* Good Telephone Manner

* Ability to work in a team and under own initiative

* Available for 24/7 Rota if required

* Full Clean UK Driving Licence

* Eligible for National SC/NPPV3 Security Clearance and Enhanced Disclosure

* Must be Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable Skills:

* General Infrastructure Knowledge (Server / Storage / Networks)

* Microsoft Windows Server / Hyper-V Experience

* Active Directory Support

* Some experience of Microsoft Azure and Hybrid IT

* Basic Cisco Routing and Switching Support

* Basic Understanding of IP routing and switching

* Understanding of WAN & Internet Connectivity (ADSL / SDSL / MPLS)
