The Home Office deals with the most important issues facing the UK - tackling crime, terrorism, cutting illegal immigration and securing our borders. At HM Passport Office, we’re in the middle of an ambitious programme to digitise how we interact with our customers and process passport applications. In all, it’s the ideal environment for your business analysis skills.

You’ll define aspects of the detailed design of our future organisation by working on individual change initiatives. It will see you create user stories and requirements, and design business services and processes. You’ll also engage with a wide range of people to make sure services meet emerging needs. Lastly, you’ll develop business and benefits cases, and make sure your design work brings transformational benefits to life.

Your background should include working with business and technical architects - specifically to ensure alignment between the target architecture and detailed solution design. You will also have made sure that your designs meet business requirements, and designed and run workshops and interviews to gather information. Beyond this, an industry-recognised qualification would be ideal.

The Home Office offers excellent career development prospects, competitive pension and benefits arrangements, and extensive professional support networks as well as being dedicated to promoting equality, fairness and respect. We will create a working environment where diversity is recognised, valued and celebrated. Exactly as you would expect from a large, progressive employer like the Civil Service.
