CAD Technician (Structural Steel)

£30,000 - £32,000 + Training + Progression + Excellent Benefits

Excellent role on offer for a CAD Technician looking to work for a leading company in a specialist industry, where you will be instrumental in the growth of the business and be succession planned into becoming a Project Manager.

Do you have experience of working with AutoCAD? Have you got experience with designing structural and architectural steelwork?

This industry leader has been around for over 50 years and specialise in the design, fabrication and installation of steel structures for a multitude of high end sectors. They have recently won a large multi-million pound contract to work on mobile phone towers across the UK which is enabling them to expand even further.

Your role will be to provide proposal and manufacturing drawings for steelwork by interpreting structural and architectural designs. You will also be responsible for the initial design and the way through to completion.

This role would ideally suit a CAD Technician with experience of draughting structural steelwork and who is looking for structured progression into becoming a Project Manager.

The Role:

*CAD Drawing and design using AutoCAD 2D and 3D

*Preparing proposals and measurements for construction

*Involved with the design through from initial to completion

*Interpreting structural and architectural designs

The Person:

*Must have AutoCAD experience

*Must have experience in draughting structural steelwork design

*Ability to work on multiple projects

*Must be able to work autonomously
