C++ Software Engineer/Developer - C++ Object Orientated, Embedded XP/7, 2D/3D Video Games, Direct X/Open GL, Manchester

The Organization designs and develops leading gaming content in a creative and dynamic work environment, constantly striving to deliver new and exciting content to our consumers. We are currently looking for Junior Software Engineers to strengthen our teams in Manchester and Wolverhampton. Using the company's in-house graphics engine, you will be working with 3rd party APIs to produce games for a number of PC based platforms, running embedded windows XP/7.

Based across Manchester and Wolverhampton, our Content Development team has over seventy highly skilled development staff designing and developing game content for UK and International markets. Our team members are given the opportunity to design and develop games across a number of gaming sectors, as well as working with cutting-edge technology such as multi-touch screens, HD graphics and the latest software and graphics packages.

We expect all of our developers to demonstrate a high level of technical competence, coupled with a good grounding in software development. You must be fully conversant in C++ to be considered for this position. In addition to a genuine interest in gaming, we would ideally like you to have knowledge of 2D/3D video games programming.

Required skills:

* C++ in an object oriented environment.

* Good level of education, equivalent to at least degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Games Programming, Computer Science or Maths.

* Good understanding of statistical maths.

Ideally we would like you to have:

* An interest in working in the games/gaming industry.

* 3D/2D commercial game development experience.

* Direct X / Open GL.

* Embedded Windows development.

* Knowledge of gaming techniques including physics, animation and audio.
