A leading retail organisation based in London are looking for an Interim SAP Warehouse Management Implementation Project Manager, for an initial 12 month contract, paying circa £625p/d-£725p/d.

The role is accountable for the end to end delivery of a new warehouse management system, warehouse infrastructure, processes, training and migration activities from an existing warehouse system. The role is expected to set up and maintain strong project governance and controls throughout the project lifecycle, build and maintain a high performing project team of in house and third party resources, deliver the end to end systems, infrastructure, processes and training, lead the resolution of all issues and risks (systems and business), manage migration/cut over from the existing system, and maintain accurate and timely reporting to all stakeholders.

The implementation will be replacing the current system. The warehouse itself will remain in the current site so migration will involve systems and processes but not physical movement of stock between sites. It is envisaged that much of the current warehouse IT infrastructure will remain in situ and may be available for reuse but will need to be migrated over to another network, gaps filled, and the end to end infrastructure assured before cut over. Depending on the WMS system selection which will complete in January 2017 there may also be a systems hosting element to manage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Building credible, trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders within the organisation

* Planning, leading and delivering all aspects of the end to end warehouse management system implementation project consistent with agreed scope, budget and timelines

* Managing an internal Project team and third party software and infrastructure service providers contributing to the project.

* Planning and managing project budgets and third party contributions and costs, and monitoring the expenditures and costs against agreed budgets and tolerances

* Ensuring all project risks and issues are clearly communicated. Leading the resolution of all risk and issues in a timely manner

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Extensive demonstrated and referenced project management experience

* PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification

* Previous warehouse management system implementations playing the role of lead Project Manager. Ideally this includes at least one implementation in fashion retail.

* Experience at leading change management activities for a warehouse management system implementation

* Demonstrated successful delivery of large scale complex IT projects

* Ideally experience in a SAP ERP environment

* Strong previous experience of delivering complex projects in a creative and fast paced multichannel retail environment

* Working effectively with third party suppliers by building good relationships and controlling them to deliver to quality, time and budge

* Building and leading high performing project teams that deliver results

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high profile organisation during a substantial period of change.
