Senior Project Manager/ Programme Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager/ Programme Manager is to join an expanding Utility supplier in the West Midlands on a permanent basis. This lead role offers real autonomy, variety and great career prospects as well as a salary of up to £55,000 plus benefits.

Essential skills:

* Highly experienced in Senior Project/ Programme Manager positions

* Demonstrable experience taking full responsibility for project delivery

* Proven ability and willingness to deliver in a hands-on capacity, aware of the detail

* Experienced working with technical teams and Developers to solve technical issues

* Great communication skills, able to translate technical terminology to business stakeholders

* Good awareness of the UK Utilities industry experience

* Previous line management experience is expected

Desirable skills:

* Strong background in the UK Utilities industry

* Experience delivering projects/ Programmes from scratch

Day to day role:

As Senior Project Manager / Programme Manager you will take on a highly-varied role, responsible for overall programme management as well as well as hands on project management. You will be responsible for working with project and technical teams to ensure work is scheduled and delivered successfully. Working directly with Developers, you will schedule work and provide direction to ensure that technical issues are resolved and generally maintain control over programme deliverables. You will also act as the conduit between the business and IT, presenting to board level and translating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders as well as interfacing with third parties where required.
