We are currently looking for an Embedded Software engineer to join one of our leading clients. You will be using Embedded C, but a good understanding of CANopen and development process for safety critical software will boost your application.

Day to day responsibilities:

- You are responsible for the engineering of embedded software for mechatronic drive systems.

- In this context, you dimension and create the software architecture, the design implementation as well as the integration and verification of the software on to the hardware.

- The target systems are mainly NIOS processors on FPGA platforms.

- You are in charge of the C-programming and the creation of documentation, test specifications and test strategies.

The following skills are required:

- Embedded C

- You have graduated in a technical field of study and have gained relevant work experience in constructing electromechanical modules, ideally for drive technology.

- You can show deep knowledge in hardware-dependent programming, CANopen and development process for safety critical software.

- You are familiar with the complete development process from the request to the specification, design, implementation and testing.

- Your way of working is characterised by a high degree of independence and reliability.

- You can show expertise in the area of NIOS based software development.
