PROGRAMME MANAGER

PERMANENT

SOUTH WEST ENGLAND

SALARY C.£50,000 - £55,000 + Full benefits package includes - Contributory pension scheme, share incentive plan, childcare vouchers, holiday vouchers, other leisure discounts etc

The Job

You will be responsible for providing key leadership for the safe and effective delivery of Major Programmes that:

- Has a mix of standard, major and complex projects with critical interdependencies

- Include an element of complexity or significant risk that could have an impact from a legal/regulatory, operational effectiveness and reputational perspective

- Includes success criteria that is difficult to achieve and will have a major impact on the success of the customer

- Involves a broad range of senior stakeholders often with competing interests

You will also be responsible for the leadership of the Programme team

Generate accurate work load forecasts to support resource planning within the business and functions

Develop and maintain key project documents including Project Management Plan, Risk Register and Project Reporting Pack

The successful candidate will also be responsible for strategising and winning work, building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients

The Fit

You must have a strong background of working at Programme Management level on complex Engineering programmes

A defence industry background would be great but nuclear, governmental, large scale IT, large scale health care, railway/transport or aviation industry backgrounds would also be suitable

A recognised certification in Project management

You must also have line management experience
