Here at Spring Technology I have an exciting new opportunity. I'm currently recruiting for an IT Service Desk Analyst to join a well recognised public sector organisation in Edinburgh on an initial 3 month contract with a strong chance of extension.
The Role:
As a Service Desk Analyst you will sit within the IT department taking all first line calls and emails, also dealing with password resets, IT change requests and IT stocktakes. However, this specific role is more varied than just IT Service Desk. There are a number of new roll outs in progress, so the chosen candidate will be expected to be very hands on and assist the new rebuilds and terminal hook ups. As a Helpdesk Assistant within a public sector environment it is expected that the chosen candidates for this role are 100% customer focused and driven to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.
Our client is looking for candidates who have a solid background in IT support more so at 1st line level, also someone who is willing to be very flexible and will provide a very hands on approach to the various tasks that this role requires.
Essential Skills:
*Previous experience within an IT 1st Line role
*Experience using Windows and other basic Microsoft software's
*Ability to deal with Change Requests
*Active Directory Experience
*Ability to deal with IT Stocktakes
*Exceptional communication skills
*Customer focused
*Previous experience within customer service
