Bid Manager / Assistant Project Manager - SC Clearance

We are looking for a Bid Manager / Assistant Project Manager based in Yeovil ideally holding SC Clearance or willing to go through the process is required.

For the Bid Management Activities, the BM&APM shall be responsible for Bid Management Activity for the UK IOS value stream including but not limited to:

o Schedule, plan and facilitate bid activities including Win Strategy, Black Hat Reviews, Bid Kick Off Meetings, Design Concept Review, Engineering Bid Review, Business Winning Decision Panels, Proposal Storyboard, Pink and Red Team Reviews and Requests for Approval (Tender Vet)

o Plan, generate and challenge cost build up and pricing effort

o Work with bid team to identify risk and develop mitigation plans

o Manage proposal document development process - win themes, outlining, storyboarding, graphics and writing

o Plan and Manage BPIA spend to delivery bids on budget

o Lead the Bid Approval process and ensure that the appropriate level of Bid Approval is obtained

o Share skills, expertise and data within the S3 Business Winning Community through the Bid and Project Management forums to continually improve the process

o Facilitate bid activities using the most appropriate tools and techniques

o Participate in Win Strategy development

o Work with current and future partner company bid management teams on all UK IOS bids/opportunities

o In conjunction with the Campaign Lead, ensure the on time delivery of a high quality proposal with consistent messages and win themes

o Work with Senior Management to develop and maintain strong customer and partner relationships and contribute to the overall business Strategy to meet current and future requirements

o Co-ordinate and provide data for monthly Campaign/Business Winning reviews

* In the role of assisting the Programme and Service Delivery managers, the BM&APM shall undertake specific tasks associated with project delivery which can include:

o Assist the Service Delivery manager in implementing the Tailored Lifecycle Management framework (Project Plans, WBS, OBS and Cost/Control Accounts) that governs the operation of the IPT Manage the planning, allocation and deployment of team members and workload.

o Assist the Service Delivery manager in the Monitoring and Control of all activities and costs, defining and implementing corrective (or "recovery") actions required to tackle any deviations from the planned activities.

o Organise and coordinate internal Phase Reviews and Project Reviews, and manage all resultant actions to closure. Conduct effective Risk and Opportunity Management, ensuring that all risks and opportunities are recorded, managed and tracked to closure. Where mitigation activities are required, ensure that adequate support is provided to ensure they are undertaken.

o Subject to workload, the BM&APM will also be given responsibility to manage a specific work packages, or small project
