An IT Systems Engineer is required to join a successful and growing Technology Services company. They make it their business to provide outstanding, innovative service where quality, integrity and respect are key values. The company delivers a variety of outsourced, managed and project services across a wide range of clients, mainly in the SMB/SME marketplace.

As an IT Systems Engineer you will be responsible for first or second line remediation of automated tickets and alerts generated by monitoring and management platforms used to deliver a proactive, outsourced IT service to clients. These platforms include Labtech RMM and Cacti as well as MSP management solutions for backup, AV, Encryption and network device management.

You must have demonstrable experience, ideally working with multi-customer SMBs/SMEs in a Managed Service Provision environment and have sound knowledge of the following technology areas:

- Windows Server

- Active Directory

- Exchange

- Network infrastructure, topology and best practices

- Firewall and router configuration

You should also have experience of backup management and centralised AV solutions. Microsoft certifications are highly desirable and a willingness to keep them current and gain further, relevant certifications is essential.

The role will involve assisting in the continued development of proactive monitoring and automated management functions and as such you will be expected to identify new opportunities to increase ticket resolution using automation. Due to the nature of the support work, which will include software patching, some work outside of normal working hours will be required.
