The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) distributes public money for higher education to universities and colleges in England, and ensures that this money is used to deliver the greatest benefit to students and the wider public.

We are seeking to recruit a textual research Analyst to join our supportive, enthusiastic, and high performing Analytical Services Directorate (ASD). You will undertake a variety of textual research and analysis to investigate HE policy questions and inform decision-makers in HEFCE and wider government, and provide advice and guidance in survey design and analysis. We are also interested in candidates who have experience of using qualitative approaches to analyse big data. At this pay band we would not expect the post-holder to have knowledge or experience in all of these different areas.

We are seeking candidates with the ability to gain insight from large sets of data and information, develop conclusions, and present results clearly and concisely. The role features a variety of technology and responsibilities, so a willingness to learn is vital.

ASD values knowledge sharing and development; we offer both external and internal training that covers SAS programming, IT, and interpersonal skills.
