Graduate Hardware Design Engineer - ASIC / FPGA
We have a number of fantastic opportunities for Graduate Hardware Design Engineers with our leading Semiconductor client near London, to start in 2017.
Our client is the world's No.1 provider of high definition video IP technology. Due to huge demand for their products around the world and company expansion, they are recruiting for a number of Graduate Hardware Engineers with a good grounding in either ASIC or FPGA design to join them.
This is a great chance to put into practice your hardware design skills gained from university, and develop as an ASIC Design Engineer within one of the world's most prominent and exciting silicon IP companies. In this role you will work as part of an experienced team of ASIC Designers, and be directly involved in all aspects of the Digital ASIC Design flow for SD/HD video encoder/decoder IP cores, taking responsibility for:
*Digital RTL coding (in VHDL) of video and display algorithms
*IP implementation
*Working with the simulator team to test the block
*Top level testing of the IP
Required:
We're looking for self-motivated Hardware Graduates with a good degree (1st / 2:1) in Electronic Engineering or similar field, with a solid knowledge of RTL coding and debug in VHDL or Verilog, either for FPGA or ASIC designs. Knowledge Perl / tcl / C coding would be a bonus, but not essential.
Our client offers a structured career path; you will be supported by experienced ASIC designers, and receive regular (but informal) reviews. You'll enjoy developing your career within a really vibrant, positive and energetic environment.
