Are you the right person to help them innovate on the best direct to consumer investment platform in the UK?

Our Client has a new offering that will allow them to bring innovative new products to market, and to support its rapid growth they are looking to expand its technology capabilities. The entire team is based at their landmark office in the centre of Bristol.

You will be working as part of an Agile/Scrum team that is helping to change the landscape of the £700 billion savings market in the UK. They are looking for highly skilled & motivated Java developers who enjoy seeing their work making a measurable impact to a business and disrupting the status quo. The development team consists of business analysts, developers & testers and is responsible for the delivery of the entire front-to-back product.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Writing high quality Java code

* Working collaboratively as part of a team

* Actively contributing to the scrum process (stand ups, automated tests, retrospectives, etc.) and the overall output of the team

* Doing whatever is necessary to deliver working code at the end of each iteration

* Meeting regulatory compliance standards

Requirements:

Essential Skills

* Java 8

* At least 2 years developing using Java

* Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile team

* Developing secure & maintainable code

* Finding innovate solutions to problems

* Pragmatic and focused on delivery

* Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do

* Tenacious, with a pride in what you do

Desirable Skills:

* A degree in computing, IT or a numerate discipline

* Knowledge of personal finance and savings products

* Specific knowledge of our associated development technologies: Sprint Boot, ActiveMQm ThymeLeaf, Oracle, SWIFT messaging

* Communicating with multiple internal and external services & APIs

* At least 5 years working within software development

* At least 2 years developing using HTML and/or SQL

* Specific experience of using our development tools: JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, PhantomJS, Jenkins

* Specific skills in their development processes: Feature led development
