Our defence client are currently looking for an experienced SC cleared Microsoft DBA to work on an initial 12 month contract at their site in Hampshire.

Applicants must have the following skills:

*Demonstrated hands on technical competence in Microsoft software technologies.

*Demonstrated recent hands on technical competence in supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and IIS 8.0 Platforms.

*Good technical team skills and the capacity and self-motivation required to meet the demands of tight timelines and rapidly evolving priorities

*Good technical authoring skills and experience of defining and documenting technical procedures

*Excellent communication and co-ordination skills.

*Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies with at least 6 + years as a production Microsoft SQL Server DBA.

*Recent experience of supporting Microsoft SharePoint 2013 hosted Platforms.

*Experience of supporting Microsoft Dynamics hosted Platforms

*At least 3 x year experience protecting and recovering production SQL Databases using system center data protection manager to include DPM 2012 R2.

*Proven working knowledge of SQL Server Always on.

*Previous experience of working within a secure Defence Environment.

*Previous knowledge and understanding of working within a DevOps/Agile environment.

*Working knowledge of ITIL v3

*Working knowledge of wider defence systems and services

*Knowledge of SQL Server 2016 and SharePoint 2016.

*Knowledge and experience in the use of Data Masker for anonymisation of sensitive data.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

The Specialist shall use its own initiative as to the manner in which services are to be delivered; for the avoidance of doubt, the Specialist shall not be supervised, directed or controlled regarding how the services are delivered. The Specialist shall use its own equipment where security requirements permit. The Specialist is expected to provide the services on such hours/days as required to meet any deadlines, as agreed between the Specialist and the Authority. The Specialist shall provide the necessary resources to support the Services which may include one or more specialists.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
