PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify the required skills for the development team, assemble the team and obtain the required training.
Develop plans for achieving project programme goals consistent with business strategy and cost/quality objectives.
Request, allocate and manage necessary resources to achieve goals.
Co-ordinate overall activities with other departments, tech. centre(s), vendors and/or customers.
Participate in programme development with customers.
Communicate expectations/measures between the programme team and customer/product line management (PLM).
Identify, escalate and manage programme risks of any nature.
Ensure that all aspects of the PDP01 process are completed and documented in accordance with procedures
PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline or relevant experience in an electronics product development environment.
Advanced training in managerial and technical skills.
Preferably several years experience with a proven record in project management/co-ordination in a TS 16949 environment
Preferred PRINCE2 certified
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Proficient in two or more of the following product development skills:
* Safety Critical Automotive development
* Electronic Component or Systems Design
* electrical design
* software design
* manufacturing process technology
* systems design
Knowledge of engineering principles and related technologies.
Knowledge of non-engineering department functions.
Thorough understanding of the relationship between product design and manufacturing processes and an ability to manage several programmes simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills in a team environment.

Understands and uses measures effectively
Ability to work in a pressured environment
High level of oral and written communication skills.
