Job Title: Ecommerce Business Analyst

Location: High Wycombe

Based at their Bedquarters in High Wycombe, they are looking for an experienced Ecommerce Business Analyst (12 month FTC) to work on a transformational unified retail replatforming project. You'll be responsible for conducting analysis to understand and evaluate the business and defining the operational need through to gathering the requirements using various methods, such as: Process Mapping; Use Cases; Impact Mapping; Functional Requirements Specifications; and Features (User Stories).

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

* Investigates operational requirements, problems and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes

* Validate proposed technical solution designs and test approaches to ensure alignment with requirements and business needs

Business Demand Management:

* Work with the business to methodically investigate, analyse and elicit business requirements aligned with the objectives of the project

* Ensure identified requirements are documented (covering business, functional, non-functional) and are prioritised

* Carry out analysis of impact, risks, technical dependencies and review/validate expected benefits

* Ensure requirements and solution scope remain aligned and focused on delivery of business benefits through regular discussion and review with the Head of Ecommerce

* Facilitate user acceptance testing of system changes and support change projects through to successful delivery, implementation and operation against pre-determined acceptance criteria

* Discover and document the as-is process by applying various process modelling techniques, as well as designing and modelling the to-be process, performing gap analysis and identifying areas for improvement

* Analyse, validate and document existing business processes and map functional and non-functional requirements onto the to-be process model in order to demonstrate the impact of change

* Assess & communicate impact of proposed solution on the organisation (people, organisation, processes, metrics & systems etc.)

Key Requirements:

The role requires a strategic approach through to effective planning. You'll produce effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. You'll also be responsible for validating any proposed technical solution designs and test approaches to ensure there is alignment with requirements and business needs. Hence, you'll carry out analysis of impact, risk, technical dependencies and review these with the Head of Ecommerce.

You'll have previous experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably within a fast paced environment such as retail. Experience delivering projects within Waterfall and iterative/Agile project environments along with knowledge of methodologies (e.g. Prince 2 and SCRUM) and tools (e.g. Jira / Confluence) and experience of working to time, cost, and quality objectives will be a key requirement. You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and communicate with external technical delivery teams and internal stakeholders.
