My client is a leader in their market with an established client base. They have recently embarked on a Finance Transformation Project with the aim of selecting a new, integrated, cloud based global finance system for global implementation in 2017/18. The scope of the new system covers core finance applications (general ledger, working capital management, budgeting and forecasting) as well as time and expenses, project management, resource management, and CRM applications.

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead the in-house team and provide end-to-end project management to ensure successful global deployment of the new system.

The Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for:

*The successful definition, execution and completion of the implementation of ByDesign and associated products at our sites in Europe, the U.S., and Asia-Pacific regions

*Planning, scheduling, and controlling project activities related to successful enterprise implementations applying managerial skills to satisfy project requirements

*Managing the overall project process and identifying and managing risks to ensure on-time, on-budget implementation of the system globally

*Leading our in-house team and building positive professional relationships with these project team members and other project stakeholders across our global organisation

*Reporting progress to a Steering Committee comprising executive-level stakeholders, including our Finance Partner (its de facto Global CFO) and regional CFOs

*Working closely with the reseller's Project Manager and maintain close working relationships with reseller and any other external stakeholders that may be involved in the project as required

The implementation project is due to commence in January 2017 with the fully ramped-up team due to start in February 2017. Given this timeline the client is looking to commence interviewing as soon as possible.

Candidate background and experience

*Significant IT experience of which at least 3+ years of recent experience should include working as an Project Manager implementing finance / ERP (SAP) systems

*Experience of implementing new SAP finance / ERP solutions required, with strong preference for candidates with experience implementing SAP ByDesign

*Previous multi-site, multi country implementations with experience of leading projects Europe involving US and/or Australia sites being particularly relevant

*A consulting background and / or experience of working on implementation projects for which a professional services firms was the client would also be helpful

*Structured project management experience with relevant project management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, PMBOK, Agile)

*Experience in delivering change management alongside systems implementation

*Experience running implementation teams (in-house or third party)

*Experience of managing projects in a complex working environment involving multiple internal and external stakeholders

*Excellent soft skills, including very good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to develop relationships and building consensus among multiple project stakeholders

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Package and compensation

*Central London based location

*International travel is expected to be minimal but some travel may be required

*High profile role with excellent visibility to senior executives

Contract: 6/12 months
