There couldn't be a more exciting time to join Network Rail's Telecoms team. Already responsible for one of the UK's largest fibre-optic networks, we're introducing new technology, systems and processes over the next 18 months that will take our services even further and faster.

If you're used to delivering projects in a telecoms environment, you could soon be helping to create safer and more effective journeys for everyone and bring next-generation technology to the remotest parts of the UK.

Overseeing and delivering your own projects and programmes of work; this role is truly varied. From coordinating the commissioning, design and construction, through to safety, finance and testing - your involvement in all aspects of the project life cycle will enable you to develop and strengthen your project management capabilities. You'll also work closely with senior management colleagues, external contractors and consultants, stakeholders and customer alike.

You will essential need:

* Comprehensive experience of delivering projects in a project management capacity where you were directly responsible for all aspects of time, cost and quality.

* A practical understanding of Grip, Engineering Management standards (e.g. 02009) and of CDM.

* Demonstrable experience of delivering single projects from inception through to end product

* Accredited by (or currently working towards) a professional project management body (e.g. APMP, Prince 2, MSP)

Essential Qualifications:

* Project management qualification: APMP, Prince 2, MSP or equivalent
