DB2 LUW Database Administrator:

An Amazing opportunity for a graduate with 2 or 3 years' experience in Database Administration who is looking to join one of the largest banking groups in the world has been made available due to growth. As a Database Administrator you will join an inclusive global database service team providing support across a number of platforms and technologies.

As a Database Administrator you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills using DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix and Windows) and Sybase RDBMS. Your primary responsibility will be to provide Database Administration expertise to the business. This position will provide you with the ability to support and learn new technologies in other database products such as SAP Sybase ASE database platforms.

As a Database Administrator your main responsibilities will be to provide your technical expertise to the business. You will be the main point of contact for incident management, from troubleshooting through to resolution and root case analysis. Other responsibilities as the DB2 Database Administrator will be providing consultancy services to application support groups and developers, performance tuning, migrations and version upgrades. As a DB2 LUW Database Administrator you will be the main point of contact for any Level 3 escalations from the support teams.

As a Database Administrator you must have tangible experience of Database administration in a Linux environment, working knowledge of Unix and strong SQL language knowledge. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, have the ability to multitask and strong problem solving skills.
