Junior / Graduate Data Analyst

This is an immediate requirement for a Graduate or Junior Data Analyst with a strong numerical background.

A great opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to work for a leading design company in the Bournemouth area. This Data Analyst role will be working closely with UK and International clients to provide numerical models for the design and operation of airports and control towers.

The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with their clients and their stakeholders to identify how their system needs to perform, and what can be done to make improvements. Your work developing small changes can bring a large benefit and to a clients air traffic control operations. You will also quickly gain experience in operational assessments and systems improvements to help you achieve full consultant status as quickly as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities for this Operational Analyst role

- Operations - The development and documentation of future air traffic operational concepts;

- Simulations - The preparation, conduct, analysis and reporting of ATM and airport simulations, both real time and fast time;

- Investigation - Validation, Operational Analysis, Safety and Human Factors assessments;

- Innovation - You will be expected to contribute to the way we work, the way our clients work, the way the industry works, and to always be on the lookout for ways in which all of those can be done better.

Requirements for this Research Analyst role

- At least a degree level qualification (2:1 or above) in a numerate (Mathematics, Statistics, physics etc,.. or engineering / aerospace discipline;

- A strong academic track record;

- Excellent communication skills and an ability to apply technical results to a non-technical audience;

- The aptitude and attitude required to work in a small, growing consultancy;

Experience or interest in any of the following would be handy:

- ATM or Airport operations;

- Mathematical modelling;

- Simulation;

- Experience in one or more programming languages.

- Knowledge of Python or SQL
