Python Developer

Junior to mid-level Python Developer is required by a leading Electronic Trading firm to join their London office. You would join an exceptionally talented team of 10-12 developers, working on a range of projects from building their next generation trading platform, through to MiFiD 2 requirements thus gaining full exposure across front office and regulatory projects, future proofing you in your career. Your main responsibilities would be working on algorithmic trading systems, but the business will tailor the role around you and your personal development/motivations. Financial Services experience is not necessary for this role.

Key skills

Python development experience ideally gained in a commercial environment but would consider a graduate with a hard working attitude

Java knowledge beneficial but not essential

Relational database experience such as SQL or Oracle - not hard core but understanding how to navigate + stored procedures etc

Web UI development skills such as Javascript / HTML also beneficial but not essential

Good foundation in object orientated programming

Computer Science, Maths or other numerate degree subjects considered

Role details

Salary: flexible based on experience up to circa £65,000 - maybe slightly more for the right candidate

Location: London (city)
