Optic Laser Design Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

£40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Company Car + Progression + Holidays + Pension

Are you a Design Engineer with a background in Laser Systems looking to join one of the most renowned Laser companies in the Midlands, within a role that will see you as a technical expert in the field?

On offer is an exciting position where you will be working with state-of-the-art equipment being the go to person, utilising your key strengths to see designs and projects through from cradle to the grave whilst also improving the current Laser Design Systems.

The Company itself Specialise in producing, supplying and maintaining a variety of laser based cutting machines and are currently going through a busy spell of growth making this a great time to join and progress within. They are looking for a Design Engineer to help lead their existing team.

This position would suit a Design Engineer with a background in Lasers looking to take the step up to a Senior position whilst to working with high-tech equipment within a company who focus on their employee's career development.

The Role:

*Providing the advanced mechanical and opto-mechanical design required for laser systems

*Work to correct CAD standards

*Make recommendations and participate in design review

*Responsible for mechanical models, detail drawings and revision control from concept, though prototyping and to final production.

The Person:

*Experience in Laser Design

*Mechanical & Electrical design using 3D tools

*Experience of AutoCAD and Solidworks

*Previous experience of designing complex laser systems, precision machined components, or expertise in electro-mechanical highly desirable but not essential
