Our client is leading a new generation of energy providers with a fresh outlook and a unique way of doing business. They are now looking for a Front End Developer to join their team.

This innovative business was the first energy company to offer their Pay As You Go customers the opportunity to top up using their phone, the first company to offer real time electricity and gas usage data and the first to release an Apple Watch App. Our client has been featured in Wired magazine for their ability to develop software that shatters the status quo, and they’re only getting started.

As a Front End Developer, you’ll drive our client’s technology choices and own the software that you create, from your laptop all the way through to production.

Based in open plan offices, you’ll join a team that cares about code quality, test automation and continuous delivery.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to on a daily basis:

- Completing daily stand ups to identify your mission for the day

- Grabbing a partner for some pair programming

- Sharing ideas with front end colleagues from other teams

- Smashing out high quality code

Sure, you’ll have plenty of chances to discuss Rocket League strategies with your colleagues and take a break with our client’s impressive library of retro video games, because that’s what makes a workplace fun.

But most importantly, you’ll get to collaborate and learn from the industry’s best, have your ideas heard and create incredible software that has the potential to transform the way the energy sector operates.

If you’ve gotten this far, we’ve probably piqued your interest. To join our client’s passionate team, you must have experience of the following:

- HTML5

- CSS3 & CSS pre-processors (Less or Sass)

- JavaScript

- AngularJS

- Agile

- JavaScript build tools, including Grunt, Gulp, npm and Bower

- TDD and/or BDD

You’d be the Front End Developer of our client’s dreams if you have experience of ES6, TypeScript, XP or continuous delivery environments, but these are by no means essential (and they’ll love you just the same).
