Building a better CNC. Help us make the most of every change programme.

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team. As our Definition & Benefits Manager, you’ll ensure that we make the most of our exciting change initiatives.

The CNC is growing. As part of our development, we’re launching a number of diverse change programmes with a budget of over £10m. As part of our Programme Office, you’ll see that we maximise the benefits arising from these changes. It means working closely with stakeholders and Business Change teams on a day-to-day basis. Together, you’ll create robust business cases, support governance structures and realise benefits. You’ll also evaluate the resources required for change projects (both human and financial) and spot dependences between change initiatives. As our resident expert, we’ll look to you for sound advice, a consistent approach and guidance on the preparation of business cases.

It’s a great opportunity to tackle a challenging and interesting workload. To make the grade,

you must have a relevant portfolio or programme qualification, for example MoP or MSP. You’ll also need APMP, Prince 2 or a similar project management qualification. These credentials should come with a solid track record in programme, benefit and portfolio management. Experience of planning, financial management and change control will be essential.

In previous roles, you’ll have developed successful change management strategies and given expert guidance. This means you’re used to working at a senior, strategic level and influencing key stakeholders. Articulate, analytical and a strong strategic thinker, you’ll be motivated, proactive and up to speed on best practice.
