Progressive are on the lookout for a Software Development Manager to join one of the most progressive Digital Agencies in Australia. You will become part of a fast moving company who take a unique approach to web development and keep up with the latest trends and technologies. This is an exciting time to join a fast growing company made up of passionate people. Due to the rapid growth, the company have recently relocated to a cool, trendy office within Sydney's CBD.

Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of leads and engineers to plan, design and deliver complex, broad scale systems across web and mobile platforms

* Create an environment of engineering excellence through process and mentorship

* Ensure successful delivery of a broad range of client projects

* There will be a small amount of hands on coding involved in the role

Skills

* 8-10 years commercial experience leading successful software development teams

* Strong experience in commercial software development with a proven history of project delivery and technical leadership roles

* Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews and code instrumentation

* Must have software development experience with a range of technologies working within an Agile environment

* Experience building highly scalable systems in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

* Current experience in managing and coaching technical resources to achieve outstanding project outcomes

* A natural collaborator and comfortable working with internal teams

* Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive

* Having worked commercially across .Net, Java and C#

* Strong data structure, design pattern, algorithm and network programming knowledge

* Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in appropriate disciplines are expected
