On behalf of a major Engineering Consultancy, based in the North West, I am looking for Design Manager on 6 month contract.

This large client is looking for an experienced manager to overlook, manage and work alongside project managers and engineers through the design phase of a large project.

Responsibilities:

* Managing the Design for the delivery of approved drawings to site for construction through NG process.

* Responsible for leading a team of design engineers in Primary, Secondary, civil and Commissioning engineering.

* Review and approval of Technical specifications and Drawings.

* Verification of Engineering Design Studies.

* Interfacing with Client representatives

* Addressing Technical queries from the site and subcontractors.

* Project Progress Reporting and Tracking

* Project Change Control Management, Configuration, Defect Management

* Chairing Design review meetings and coordinating client meetings.

Essential Experience:

- Extensive Experience in leading design projects (HV Cables, Substations, Utilities)

- National Grid Project Experience

- 10-15 Years' Experience
