A company based in Stoke on Trent are quietly building a bespoke development team - they've attracted 3 other developers to work there in just 1 month of starting a recruitment drive - every single developer I've had interview there has been impressed not just technically by the business and its product suite/technology roadmap, but also how personable the managers are, they could visualize themselves working there on a daily basis for years to come. Due to an influx in investment and new clients, 3 Graduate Software Developers are needed to fill the ranks!
As a Graduate Software Developer in this business, you will be joining a team of dedicated engineers in producing its best of breed solutions to some of the largest retailers in the world. The development team is circa 30 strong, in a company of 75-80 people (flexes slightly with part-time staff and contractors).
Working a fast paced environment, you will be delivering software in accordance with previously developed requirements and design documentation. You will also ensure the delivery is completed on-time and to the required level of quality. You will have an extremely experienced and helpful development team around you to help you succeed in doing this!
As a Graduate Software Developer joining this business, you should have:
Degree in a relevant field of Computer Science or Engineering
Have a practical knowledge of C#
Basic understanding of relational databases like MySQL or SQL Server
Basic knowledge of WPF, WCF, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
Most importantly - an appreciation for software development and a hunger to learn!
The salary for these roles is between £18,000 to £20,000 + extra benefits like 21 days holiday rising up to 25 days, free onsite parking, unlimited tea and coffee, Monday morning breakfast, Beer Fridge, Pension, Childcare vouchers, Long Term Service Awards, Summer & Christmas parties and many other social events!
