Graduate Analyst - Quantitative Finance

Graduate or Junior Analyst is required by a prestigious Asset Management firm based in West London. You would be responsible for working collaboratively with a small team of Quantitative Analysts in building out a new Asset Liability platform for their institutional clients. Your responsibilities as a junior analyst would include undertaking qualitative and quantitative research into specific companies, contributing to client pitches, using VBA to build tools on an ad hoc basis as well as to work on quantitative modelling and contributing to regulatory research to help keep the team on the pulse within the industry.

This role is offering great exposure into the Asset Management industry and also into quantitative finance. You would be working directly with a senior Quantitative Analyst who comes from an Investment Banking background, who would be a great person to learn from in a first or second job. Furthermore, there is a flat hierarchy in a small team offering great exposure; you will be recognised by the top individuals within the firm for the contributions you make.

Key requirements

A degree/MSc/PhD in a subject such as Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Physics or a related degree with a mathematical element - 2.1 or above is preferred

An understanding of one or more programming languages from either academic or commercial work as an analyst at another firm; VBA, R, Matlab, Python, C#, C++ etc are all applicable

Good written and verbal English skills to work closely with clients

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or graduate analyst who is interested in Quantitative Finance. This role would set you off on a steep learning curve, with the full support of very talented and respected individuals within the market. This role contrasts to other analyst graduate schemes or roles within Investment Banking as it gives you more exposure to more senior people within the business and your role would be far more varied working in a smaller team.
