A company specialising in articulate robotics design and development are looking for a Junior Software Developer with demonstrable programming experience (perhaps in industry or University projects) in C++ or C# as well as an interest in robotics. The C++ / C# Junior Software Developer will be designing and maintaining the software that controls the company’s robots and sensors that would be used across several industries, e.g. defence, aerospace, nuclear.The essential skills required for this role are knowledge of C++ or C# programming, gained from at least 1 major software development project (from university or hobbies). It would be especially relevant if you had project experience in developing software that makes some sort of mechanisms move, or just generally are a hobbyist developer regularly tinkering with equipment. This should be backed up with a good academic background with a degree in an engineering, scientific or related subject.
Role:
1. Design and develop software (C#, C++) to control complex robotic solutions
2. Deliver software system within timescales and quality guidelines
3. Work within existing software infrastructure and processes
4. Work closely with software team
5. Work closely with members of electronics and mechanical teams
Key Skills:
1. Good degree (or equivalent level) in a rigorous engineering, scientific, or mathematical subject
2. At least one major project in C++ or C# software development
3. An interest in programming and robotics
